It is the corona season. They expect a fourth wave. A spike in number of infections and deaths. There are not enough vaccines to go around. Only 500,000 Kenyans have been vaccinated. I haven’t got my second dose

Then when one compares the Relative Risk and the Actual Risk of catching one of the CoVid 19 variants floating around (including Variant D) and discover that these numbers are not statistically significant. Then you consider the number of Kenyans that need to be vaccinated in order to protect the rest of us in this human herd from being infected. That number is unrealistic you wonder about the great reset and where you fit in to the great plan.

I imagine that Kenyans approaching retirement age in diaspora are monitoring the situation at home, very keenly. Their investments here need to be protected. Their social capital (families) need to be protected. Some of these people need to come back home if their dreams of retiring to the rustic homesteads in their memories are to come alive.

My advice is figure out your Kenyan retirement plan before you land here.Do some research into what you intend to do during your sunset years. Learn about your friends and relatives here. Do not loosen your purse strings for them ad lib because I am figuring they were not part of your retirement plan.Have an open mind about using your talents and experience for the common good. You are not a spent force. The best years of your life lie ahead of you.

Get hooked into a Kenyan income draw down plan by investing your savings in Kenya. If you are young enough get an independent pension plan. Bottom line- please do yourself a favour. Talk to a retirement planning professional
